Glanyrafon Farm is set amidst the spectacular scenery of Mid-Wales and is a true example of how you can “get away from it all” and enjoy the good life. Formerly part of an estate owned by the Earl of Leicester, who bequeathed it to University College, Oxford.

      Bedroom in Cottage

The cottage was originally built in 1853 and has been extensively renovated and now boasts a galleried bedroom with double bed, full central heating, lounge-diner, shower and kitchen. There is a TV and DVD player in the lounge.

The Cottage comfortably sleeps 3 adults and is let on a self catering basis. A camp bed is available for other guests. The Welsh Tourist Board have rated the Cottage a 3 star. You can relax and watch sky TV and if required surf the web and do email and use the wireless broadband connection.

There are ample parking and storage facilities and pressure washers if you need to clean your bike or gear. You are welcome to bring your horse as there are 20 acres of grazing and well behaved dogs are welcome.

The River Dulas which flows into the River Severn forms the Western boundary offering a diversity of appeal and attraction to birds and wildlife.

Situated in the heart of Mid-Wales, the area is renowned for its sites of outstanding natural beauty, wild flora and fauna and is particularly noted amongst the walking, riding and fishing fraternity.

Glanyrafon offers total privacy, yet benefits from good road frontage and easy access to the market towns of Rhayader and Llanidloes with many local shops where you can by fresh breads and locally sourced meat and vegetables together with many of the attractions and sporting activities that Wales can offer.
