Glanyrafon is situated between Rhayader and Llanidloes which are 5 and 4 miles away respectively. We are ideally situated for exploring Mid Wales and within easy reach of the Brecon Beacons, Elan Valley or the coastal towns of Aberystwyth or Aberdovey.

For those wishing to attend various events at the showground at Builth Wells, we are only 25 minutes away and also only 15 minutes from the Mid Wales Shooting Ground at Trefeglwys.

Llanidloes is the first town on the River Severn and the gateway to the Cambrian Mountains and close to the established walkways of the Severn Walk, Glyndwr’s Way and the Wye Valley Walk.

Rhayader - Visit the beautiful Elan Valley and the Red Kite Centre at Gigrin Farm and feed the birds or arrange a pony horse trek through the beautiful valleys where all riding are levels catered for. For the younger children there is Quackers the fun indoor play arena.
Aberystwyth is only 45 minutes away with its beach, seaside town, Silver Mines and Steam Railway to Devils Bridge.

The area is ideally situated for outdoor pursuits walking, cycling, sailing, canoeing, shooting, fishing, archery and horse riding

The cities of Liverpool, Manchester, Birmingham and Cardiff are all within 2 hours drive (approx).
